NYC Founders Club Moves Founder Networking Onto the Delaware River

The startup calendar is full of rooms designed for fast introductions. NYC Founders Club is trying something slower.

The Great Founder River Float of 2026 takes a group of founders and venture professionals out of Manhattan and onto the Delaware River on August 22. The full-day retreat combines private transportation, a three-hour float, and a post-river meal in Easton.

Why Change the Setting

Conferences and mixers are useful for reach. They are less effective when the goal is to build trust.

A long shared experience changes the pace of a conversation. There is time to move past the standard pitch, compare operating challenges, and learn how someone thinks when no one is rushing to the next panel.

NYC Founders Club is positioning the float for early- to growth-stage founders and friends working in technology and venture capital. The group is curated, and tickets require host approval.

What Is Included

The day includes round-trip private transportation from Manhattan, tube rental, safety equipment, changing facilities, staff support, roughly three hours on the water, and food and drinks afterward.

No prior floating experience is required. Final operational details are provided to confirmed participants.

Event Details

The retreat takes place Saturday, August 22, with programming scheduled from approximately 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EDT. The exact meeting and river access locations are shared after registration. Request to join through the official event page.
