Qualitate Raises $25M Series A for AI Primary Research

Qualitate gives a research buyer access to a growing interview library while keeping the buyer's own commissioned conversations private. That boundary matters to the New York company's ambition: make expert research useful across more decisions without asking customers to contribute their confidential work to everybody else's evidence pool.

Qualitate announced a $25M Series A on October 20, 2026, led by Insight Partners with returning investors IA Ventures and Crew Capital. Founder and CEO Sagar Kadakia is directing the financing toward broader expert coverage, stronger AI interviewing and research agents, and tools that bring customers' data and context into the research process. Jeff Capobianco serves as CTO and Head of Applied AI, according to the company's current team page.

The financing puts more resources behind a practical change in research economics. When interviews become easier to commission and revisit, product and investment teams can seek evidence for questions that might previously have been too small or too time-sensitive to justify a separate project. Qualitate's commercial opportunity sits in that expanding set of decisions, with the responsibility of keeping the underlying evidence relevant and inspectable.

How Qualitate turns interviews into recurring research

Qualitate combines an expert panel, AI interviewing and structured analysis. Its platform description distinguishes the research library available to customers from private studies commissioned for a particular organization. Teams can examine existing evidence, identify a question that needs a better answer and launch additional interviews.

The useful detail is what happens inside the conversation. Insight Partners describes an interviewer that can follow up on an expert's answer: an increase in software spending might reflect more users of existing products or a budget moving into new tools. Those explanations can point a product team toward very different decisions. Counting an answer without understanding its cause leaves the buyer with a tidy number and unfinished research.

For an operator, this creates a different way to use outside perspectives. A pricing discussion can begin with evidence already collected, move into a targeted study and return to the original question after the company changes its offer. The analytical advantage would come from comparing decisions over time and preserving the explanations behind them. Interview volume helps only when a team can connect the evidence to the decision it is making.

Why Insight's customer experience matters to the round

Insight says it used Qualitate before becoming the lead investor. That relationship gave the firm experience with the product in investment and portfolio work, alongside the financial interest it now holds. Its published investment account emphasizes ownership of primary research and the ability to keep expanding that evidence base.

A Qualitate-hosted Insight case study makes the workflow concrete. Jessica Goldstein describes using the platform to interview 16 customers and partners in 5 days while helping a portfolio company investigate AI priorities. She estimates the traditional process might have accommodated 3-5 conversations. The account illustrates a wider set of perspectives reaching a roadmap discussion; it is customer testimony hosted by the supplier, rather than a controlled productivity study.

That distinction leaves room for the part of research an interview count cannot settle. Participants need to be relevant, the questions need to surface actual buying behavior, and the team receiving the findings needs time to examine disagreement. A larger panel can make weak assumptions easier to challenge, provided the research buyer can inspect how conclusions were reached. Qualitate's investment case reaches into that review process because useful evidence must survive the meeting where somebody asks why the company should act on it.

Where the new capital meets enterprise buying decisions

In a separate customer account from UiPath, Chief Operations and Strategy Officer Brandon Deer describes using Qualitate across product, pricing, competitive strategy and acquisition work. Those uses put outside research near decisions with different owners and timelines. A corporate development team needs to understand an unfamiliar market; a product team needs to understand why customers choose another offer.

The company reports revenue run-rate growth of more than 10x during 2026 and 12-month net revenue retention above 300%. It also reports more than 1M minutes of AI-moderated interviews. The reviewed announcement does not disclose absolute revenue or the cohort behind the retention figure, so those metrics describe company-reported momentum rather than independently verified financial scale.

Qualitate intends to expand its expert network across industries and geographies while improving its interviewer and research agents. Its current hiring page lists work spanning engineering, research, operations and commercial roles in New York. That mix fits the business being financed: reaching a relevant expert, collecting a useful answer and helping a customer interpret it involve several disciplines. A broader network brings more markets within reach while increasing the work of maintaining expertise and context across them.

Keeping evidence useful as the workflow expands

Qualitate's integration offering connects research through API, MCP and data feeds. Bringing evidence into existing tools could shorten the distance between a question and the team discussing it. It also gives source traceability a more demanding job: a finding may be consumed outside the interface where it was first collected, so the route back to the underlying conversation remains important.

The company's compliance documentation describes expert verification, screening for material non-public information and personal information, human review of interviews, and controls over access to projects. These are the company's stated processes. They place research quality and permissions inside the product, where enterprise buyers can evaluate them alongside coverage and speed.

For Qualitate, the next expansion connects those responsibilities to more customer questions. A team can search the shared evidence, commission a private investigation and bring the result into a pricing or investment discussion. As Kadakia and Capobianco extend the system, the consequential handoff remains specific: an expert explains a decision, and somebody inside the customer's organization has to decide what that explanation changes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Qualitate distinguish its research library from private customer studies?

Qualitate describes a shared library built from its ongoing expert research. Customer-commissioned discussions stay private and separate, allowing teams to investigate their own questions without contributing that work to the shared library.

Why did Insight Partners lead Qualitate’s Series A?

Insight says it was a Qualitate customer before investing and had used the platform in investment and portfolio work. Its investment account emphasizes the value of an owned primary research base that can expand through additional interviews.

Which enterprise decisions can Qualitate research support?

The documented UiPath use cases include product, pricing, competitive strategy and acquisition research. The platform combines existing expert evidence with custom studies so teams can investigate questions specific to those decisions.

What does Qualitate’s new funding support?

The company plans to broaden expert coverage across industries and geographies, improve its AI Interviewer and research agents, and expand capabilities for customer data, context and workflow integrations.

How should buyers assess Qualitate’s reported growth and research quality?

The revenue growth and retention figures are company-reported, and the announcement does not disclose absolute revenue or the retention cohort. Buyers can also examine expert relevance, underlying interview evidence, human-review processes and access controls when assessing the service.
