POV Beauty Closes Series A to Expand Skin Prep at Sephora

Skin preparation gives POV Beauty a place in the makeup routine before a customer reaches for foundation. The Los Angeles brand has built its assortment around that sequence, selling the milk, serum, moisturizer and primer that help explain how a finished look begins.

That proposition has attracted a Series A led by Silas Capital, with RÉDO Capital and returning backer Imaginary Ventures participating. POV Beauty announced the closed financing on October 19, 2026. Beauty Independent reports the round at $15M; the company's own announcement does not disclose the amount. Co-founders Mikayla Nogueira and CEO Ani Hadjinian are directing the next stage toward retail support, a bigger team, TikTok Shop and new skincare-makeup products.

For consumer-brand operators, the interesting part is how much explanation travels with this category. Nogueira can demonstrate a routine to an audience; a national retailer must help shoppers understand it across a much wider set of encounters. Financing that transition means supporting the people and products around the lesson, while keeping the original reason for buying intelligible to someone arriving at a shelf without having watched the founder.

What POV Beauty's Series A will support

The company's financing announcement identifies Sephora, team expansion, TikTok Shop and product innovation as priorities for the proceeds. That is a growth plan spanning retail execution and digital commerce, rather than a financing earmarked for a single launch. No allocation by channel or function was disclosed.

POV Beauty says the round follows its entry into Sephora stores nationwide and online. Sephora's own assortment confirms the brand is selling through the retailer, including prep products and lip cosmetics. The distinction matters operationally: the company is financing a business already serving shoppers through a major retail partner, with a product range they can inspect and purchase.

Imaginary Ventures backed POV Beauty before its March 2025 launch and participated again in this round. Silas Capital and RÉDO Capital join that continuing relationship. The company has not published a valuation or enough funding history to establish cumulative capital, so the reported $15M belongs specifically to the Series A and should not be presented as a lifetime total.

The investor selection also fits the company's stage. Silas describes its consumer investment approach in terms of supporting brands across digital commerce and physical distribution. For POV Beauty, help with the business surrounding the formula can become as consequential as developing another formula: education, availability and the customer experience all have to keep pace as the assortment reaches more people.

The founders chose the steps before the color

POV Beauty launched on March 26, 2025, pairing Nogueira's makeup and creator background with Hadjinian's experience at Augustinus Bader, Bobbi Brown and Tom Ford Beauty. The initial proposition was specific: make skin preparation easier to understand and use before applying cosmetics. That choice gave the founders a defined problem around which to build products and education.

The current catalog makes the sequence concrete. Drench It is a priming milk, Drip It a glow serum, Whip It a moisturizer and Glaze It a gripping primer. Chill It adds a cooling water-gel moisturizer, while Snatch It extends the range into face and eye products. Amp It and Contour It take the relationship into lip care and color. These are the company's product descriptions, rather than independent findings about comparative performance.

Prep has a useful commercial relationship with makeup: its purpose becomes easier to explain through the products applied afterward. A customer looking for a smoother application can understand a primer's role without learning the entire language of skincare. The brand still has to make the sequence feel manageable; an expanding collection can introduce more decisions into the very routine it promises to simplify.

Hadjinian's role is important in that expansion. A founder who understands product development and retail brings a different set of decisions to the partnership than a founder demonstrating a look. Their work meets in the assortment itself, where each additional item needs a clear purpose that survives a product page, a sales conversation and the customer's own bathroom counter.

Education has to travel across the sales channels

POV Beauty's official brand presentation puts education alongside products. Its storefront also offers subscriptions and connects customers with the My POV community app. Together with Sephora and TikTok Shop, those touchpoints give the company several ways to keep a relationship going after the first introduction.

Each setting asks for a different kind of clarity. A direct product page can explain ingredients, application and where an item belongs in a routine. A retailer places the product among alternatives, while social commerce can join demonstration and purchase in the same encounter. POV Beauty's practical task is to make the product's role recognizable across those settings, so the explanation does not depend on a single format.

The publicly available financing material leaves repeat-purchase rates, channel margins and customer acquisition economics open. Those figures would help establish how well the different routes reinforce one another. For now, the observable strategy is to expand a makeup-prep business through both physical retail and digital customer relationships, with capital supporting the team needed to carry that strategy.

For other founders building from an audience, POV Beauty offers a concrete operating question: how much of the founder's useful knowledge reaches the customer with the bottle? As Nogueira and Hadjinian broaden the range, the answer has to fit a Sephora conversation, a phone screen and the few minutes a customer has before putting on makeup.
