Ambiki Wins Green Hills Backing for Pediatric Therapy Software

An insurer revises a payment, and a pediatric practice inherits another round of arithmetic. Ambiki has built a billing ledger that recalculates the connected patient balances as those adjustments arrive, putting a small, persistent piece of administrative life inside its software. That is part of the operating work now receiving more backing from Green Hills Partners.

Ambiki disclosed an additional equity investment from its existing investor in an October 15, 2026 company announcement. The investment supports its pediatric therapy EMR and practice-management platform, managed billing, data migration and clinical tools. The amount and valuation were not disclosed; a wire version followed on October 23.

For speech-language pathology, occupational therapy and physical therapy practices, the proposed expansion reaches across the business of delivering care. Ambiki is financing the software that records a session alongside the services that help a practice adopt the system and manage the resulting billing work. That combination gives the investment a more specific meaning than another AI documentation announcement.

An investment that follows the practice's paperwork

Green Hills Partners describes itself as a private family investment platform based in Nashville, Tennessee. Its website lists both Ambiki and Sidekick Therapy Partners, the practice where Ambiki's software history began. The investor therefore has a publicly documented connection to the operating business that preceded the software company's launch.

David R. “Dave” Hanson, Green Hills Partners' co-founder and CEO, describes a longstanding partnership with the team in the announcement. The financing is additional equity from a returning investor, with no named series, ownership percentage or transaction price supplied. Readers looking for a conventional round-size comparison will have to leave that box empty.

The ACCESS Newswire release dated October 23 describes the same investment as Ambiki's October 15 publication. Those dates establish the announcement and distribution chronology; neither establishes a separate financing or an exact legal closing date. The stated priorities span Reconsil, managed billing, implementation, migration and clinical documentation.

That mix matters commercially because a practice evaluating an EMR also has to live through the change. Historical records must arrive in useful form, staff need to use the system and patient appointments keep coming. By including migration and implementation in its expansion, Ambiki is taking a position in the practical work that can determine whether a software purchase becomes a functioning daily routine.

Kevin Dias built from a clinic's administrative problem

Ambiki's company history traces its origins to work inside Sidekick Therapy Partners in Tennessee in 2019. Early development addressed billing for the Tennessee Early Intervention System before expanding into a proprietary EMR called Cue. The company says Ambiki spun out in January 2022 and launched its EMR in January 2023.

Founder Kevin Dias therefore comes to the current investment with a product history shaped inside a practice. That sequence helps explain why the capital allocation includes administrative services as well as software features. The people moving records or following a claim are part of the product's working environment, even when their effort never appears in a demonstration.

Reconsil makes the connection especially concrete. Ambiki's billing product page describes insurance-claim submission, electronic remittance posting, private-payment reconciliation through Stripe and patient accounts that recalculate as corrections occur. The system also offers cash and accrual views and aging reports, connecting individual transactions to the practice's view of its finances.

Those functions put Ambiki close to a demanding kind of customer trust: the balance a staff member sees has to remain understandable after somebody changes an earlier transaction. Ambiki describes Reconsil as patent-pending, while its broader claims about reducing administrative effort remain company assertions. The useful observation is the work the product has chosen to carry, with repeated reconciliation becoming part of the continuing vendor relationship.

AI documentation shares the workflow with clinician choice

Ambiki gives therapists several routes into documentation. Its AI Scribe page presents typing, direct voice dictation, AI organization of dictated clinical observations and session recording through Tenalog as distinct choices. A practice can therefore introduce assistance at different points in the note-writing process rather than requiring the same method for every clinician.

Tenalog works from recorded sessions and produces material including transcripts, SOAP notes and progress information. Ambiki's own FAQ says it cannot yet provide a definitive empirical accuracy figure and recommends that therapists examine generated outputs. That limitation belongs beside the product description, particularly when documentation will be carried forward into other practice work.

The investment's clinical and billing priorities meet at that handoff. A note is useful to the therapist, but it also sits inside a larger process involving claims, remittances and patient accounts. Funding documentation alongside the ledger and managed services suggests an ambition to keep more of that process connected within one commercial relationship.

For buyers, the scope of the purchase deserves attention alongside the feature list. Ambiki's published pricing distinguishes user subscriptions from several usage-based charges, including Tenalog sessions. Comparing a practice's likely workload, documentation preferences and support needs will provide a more useful purchasing picture than treating every part of the system as one undifferentiated subscription.

The expansion brings the vendor further into daily operations

Ambiki has disclosed what it intends to develop, but the reviewed announcements provide no current revenue, customer count or quantified result from this investment. Its current careers page lists no open positions, so the capital should not be translated into an assumed hiring program. The evidence supports an expansion plan across technology and services, with the pace and commercial results still to emerge.

There is an operating commitment inside that plan. A vendor offering managed billing and migration support gets involved in work that crosses the boundary between installing software and running the practice. The relationship can begin with moving an old record and continue through the corrections that arrive after a new session has been completed.

For Kevin Dias and the Ambiki team, that creates a closely connected development agenda: help clinicians finish documentation, help staff follow the money and make the transition into the platform manageable. Green Hills Partners is adding capital to that agenda while the next patient appointment brings another note, another claim and another account entry for the practice to carry forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does the investment include migration and managed billing?

Ambiki says the capital will expand services that help pediatric therapy practices adopt and operate its EMR. Migration, implementation and billing support extend the relationship into the work surrounding the software purchase.

How does Reconsil fit into a pediatric therapy practice?

Ambiki describes Reconsil as its billing ledger for claims, remittance posting, payment reconciliation and patient balances. It recalculates dependent accounts as transactions change, connecting billing activity to financial reports.

How do AI Scribe and Tenalog differ?

AI Scribe structures a clinician’s dictated observations into a SOAP note. Tenalog processes recorded sessions into documentation and progress information; Ambiki advises review and says a definitive empirical accuracy figure is not yet available.

Which financial terms of the investment are public?

The announced transaction is additional equity from existing investor Green Hills Partners. Ambiki did not disclose the amount, valuation, ownership percentage or a named funding series.

How did Ambiki develop from Sidekick Therapy Partners?

Ambiki traces its software work to Sidekick Therapy Partners in Tennessee in 2019. Its history records a January 2022 spinout and a January 2023 EMR launch, which are distinct milestones.
