Sverica Backs Atrium’s Salesforce and Snowflake AI Push

Atrium spent 8 years teaching enterprises how to get measurable value from Salesforce, Snowflake, data, and AI. Sverica Capital Management is now financing the next version of the consultancy itself.

Sverica announced a strategic growth investment in the Bozeman, Montana company on September 9, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed. Atrium co-founder and CEO Chris Heineken will continue to lead the business, while Sverica Managing Partner Jordan Richards and Principal Matt Johnson will join its board.

The transaction matters because Atrium is trying to improve consulting with a tool that compresses the work consulting firms traditionally bill by the hour. Its Andi agent can assist with Salesforce solution design, configuration, code development, and QA. That creates a sharper commercial question than the usual AI-services headline: can a firm reduce delivery time while making the customer relationship, operating outcome, and economics stronger?

What Sverica Invested In

Founded in 2018 by Chris Heineken, Colin Gelfer, and Geoff Birnes, Atrium describes itself as an AI-native consulting and data-transformation partner for Salesforce and Snowflake. Its work spans data strategy, data science and engineering, implementations, system transformations, and managed services. The company is headquartered in Bozeman and says its team operates across the United States, India, and Latin America.

Snowflake lists Atrium as an Elite consulting partner with a data-engineering specialization. Atrium also holds a high-level Salesforce partner designation and participates in multiple Salesforce advisory boards. The current investment announcement and Atrium's own company timeline disagree on the exact advisory-board count, so that number should not be treated as settled.

Atrium reports more than $1B in measurable business impact for customers. The company's website displayed more than $1.037B during this review. That is a company-controlled metric, not audited revenue or an independently validated return calculation, but it shows how Atrium wants the market to judge its work: through business outcomes rather than a tally of implementation hours.

Why AI Changes the Consulting Economics

Enterprise consulting has long carried an awkward incentive. A provider can become more efficient and still make less money if the commercial model rewards time, staffing, and handoffs. An agent that turns a requirement into working Salesforce configuration faster is useful to the customer, but it also removes some of the labor that once protected the invoice.

Atrium's Andi Salesforce agent is designed for that collision. The product can help translate requirements, design a solution around an existing Salesforce environment, create or modify configuration and Apex code, and generate and execute QA tests. Atrium offers Andi inside project and managed-services engagements and also gives customers direct product access.

The product does not remove the harder work around it. Enterprise teams still have to choose the right process, clean and govern data, protect permissions, manage technical debt, test edge cases, persuade employees to use the system, and connect the new workflow to an operating result. Speed matters most when those human and organizational handoffs improve with it.

That is where Atrium's services model can become more valuable rather than simply cheaper. If Andi compresses repeatable build work, Atrium can spend more of the engagement on architecture, adoption, governance, and the decisions that require context. The commercial model then moves toward fixed outcomes, proprietary tooling, recurring managed work, and a longer relationship with the customer.

Why Sverica Fits the Bet

Sverica's investment strategy focuses on growth-oriented lower-middle-market businesses with recurring revenue or replicable unit economics. The firm invests across technology, business services, software, healthcare, and advanced industrial markets, using control buyouts as well as non-control and growth-equity structures.

That general profile does not establish Atrium's deal terms. It does explain the operating lens. Sverica is not arriving at enterprise consulting as an AI tourist. Its technology-services portfolio has included systems integrators, cloud consultancies, data businesses, managed-service providers, and software companies.

The most relevant precedent is Coastal Cloud, another Salesforce and Snowflake consultancy. Sverica says Coastal more than quadrupled in size during its five-year ownership period, built a dedicated go-to-market function, expanded its data and AI work, and added leadership before Tata Consultancy Services acquired the company for $700M in December 2025.

Atrium is not Coastal with a new logo, and the prior exit does not predict this investment's outcome. It does show that Sverica understands how platform partnerships, services delivery, talent, sales discipline, and proprietary capability can combine inside a consulting business. Jordan Richards was a director of Coastal and now joins Atrium's board with Matt Johnson, putting that experience close to the new operating plan.

What the Announcement Leaves Undisclosed

The September 9 announcement does not state the investment amount, valuation, ownership percentage, security, fund vehicle, or whether Sverica holds a controlling position. It also does not name other investors or provide a detailed allocation for the capital.

Those omissions matter because “strategic growth investment” describes intent more clearly than structure. Sverica's published strategy allows for control transactions, non-control investments, and growth equity. The available evidence does not support choosing one on Atrium's behalf.

The release says the partnership will support Atrium's growth ambitions and innovation. A responsible reading can connect that language to the company's Salesforce and Snowflake practices, Andi, managed services, and global delivery model. It cannot turn those connections into a promised hiring plan, acquisition budget, revenue target, or expansion timetable that neither party disclosed.

What This Changes for Atrium

The investment adds two experienced technology-services investors to Atrium's board while keeping Chris Heineken in charge. That combination suggests a scaling partnership built around the existing team rather than a public change in operating control, although the legal ownership structure remains unknown.

For customers, the useful test will be visible inside the work. Atrium has to show that AI-assisted delivery can reduce cycle time without turning complex Salesforce and Snowflake programs into a faster collection of fragile shortcuts. Configuration, code, and testing can move quickly; trust still depends on whether the system reflects the business, survives production, and produces a result an operator can explain.

For Atrium, the opportunity is to turn consulting knowledge into a delivery system that improves with every project. Sverica's capital and board involvement give the company more institutional support for that transition. The handoff ahead sits between labor and software, platform capability and customer behavior, and faster implementation and durable operating change. That is where Atrium's next stage will earn its economics.
