NYC Fintech Monark Secures $8.1M in Funding

There is a quiet power in infrastructure. Nobody throws a parade for plumbing, but everyone panics when the pipes burst. In private markets, the pipes have been rusted for decades. Access gated. Processes manual. Transparency optional. Then Monark Markets walks in and says let us lay down the rails so capital can actually move.

Monark Markets just secured $8.1M in strategic funding to build what they call standard rails for private markets. Led by F Prime, with The Treasury, Commerce Ventures, Grit Capital Partners, and BBAE Holdings stepping in with conviction. David Jegen of F Prime joins the Board of Directors, which tells you this is not tourist capital. This is sleeves rolled up, blueprint on the table capital.

Congratulations to Ben Haber, CEO and Co Founder, and Paul Davis, CPO and Co Founder. Two operators who looked at pre IPO equity, private credit, and real estate and decided the problem was not demand. It was distribution. It was infrastructure. It was the friction between ambition and allocation.

Monark Markets is positioning itself as the infrastructure layer for private markets. Not the shiny asset. Not the loud marketplace. The rails. The embedded pipes. The API driven engine that allows brokerages, advisory platforms, and clearing firms to offer alternative investments inside the environments investors already trust. If public markets had highways and private markets had dirt roads, Monark is pouring concrete at scale.

With MMM Securities LLC in the mix and a leadership bench that includes roles dedicated to compliance, revenue, and ATS engineering, this is architecture, not improvisation.

F Prime and the rest of the syndicate did not fund a trend. They funded a toll road. Private markets are massive, but distribution has been fragmented and uneven. Standard rails mean repeatable access. Repeatable access means scale. Scale means private markets stop feeling private.
