BetHog Raises $10M Series A to Build Crypto-Native Casino and AI-Powered Betting Platform

Founders who’ve already cashed one massive check don’t come back for nostalgia. Nigel Eccles built FanDuel into a category-defining machine, so when BetHog steps onto the floor out of New York, it carries a different kind of weight. Not loud. Not desperate. Just inevitable. Now BetHog just locked in a clean $10M Series A, pushing total funding to $16M, and the signal cuts through the noise with precision.

Will Ventures and RockawayX co-led the round, with PCV, 6MV, Bullpen Capital, and Advancit Capital doubling down like they’ve already read the ending. That repeat investor energy matters. It says the early signal wasn’t noise, it was pattern recognition. And pattern recognition is where money gets confident.

Nigel Eccles (CEO), Rob Jones (CPO), and Ryan Anderson (CTO) didn’t come back to rebuild yesterday’s sportsbook with a crypto skin. They’re leaning into something a little more… alive. BetHog is running a crypto-native casino and sportsbook that speaks Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, and Solana fluently, with PvP mechanics and provably fair gameplay woven into the experience. Not as a feature. As a baseline expectation.

Then Sentient Studios enters the frame like a quiet escalation. AI-powered live dealers, already working blackjack tables, now being packaged for other operators. That’s the shift. You’re not just building a casino anymore. You’re selling the house, the dealers, and the electricity in the walls.

Kyle Wachtel (CMO) driving narrative, Tyler Axon (Head of Growth) pushing distribution, and Cecelia Cromer (Manager, VIP & CS) owning the player experience round out a team that understands this isn’t just about traffic, it’s about retention in a market where switching costs are basically a click. Rob Jones (CPO) keeps product honest. Ryan Anderson (CTO) keeps it scalable. Nigel Eccles (CEO) keeps it pointed where the market is actually going.

The lesson sitting underneath all of this is simple but not easy. When you’ve already won once, the second act isn’t about proving you can do it again. It’s about picking a lane early, going native to the next wave, and building infrastructure instead of just interface. BetHog didn’t chase crypto. They started there. They didn’t bolt on AI. They productized it.

Now the tension shifts. AI dealers and crypto rails are no longer the experiment. The real game is unfolding underneath, where infrastructure decisions quietly decide who scales and who stalls while everyone else is still arguing about surface-level features.
