The Outliers Summit 2026: How Outliers Build and Think

The OOO Summit is returning to New York with a new name and a larger format. The Outliers Summit will bring founders, builders, creators, operators, and investors to Queens on November 5 and 6 for two days focused on how unconventional people build and think.

Why the Rebrand Matters

The organizers describe the change as more than a new name. Previous OOO Summit audiences included business owners and operators, but the community has expanded to include hybrid creator-entrepreneurs, solo builders, AI-native founders, and people running increasingly capable companies with small teams and software agents.

That reflects a broader change in the startup ecosystem. The boundary between founder, operator, creator, and investor is becoming less useful as individuals combine disciplines and use AI, distribution, and community as operating leverage. The Outliers Summit is being positioned around that emerging profile rather than a single job title.

Two Days: Build and Think

November 5 is organized around “How Outliers Build.” The program emphasizes tactical sessions where attendees work on products, AI agents, audiences, brands, growth, leadership, and other practical disciplines. The organizers describe it as a day where participants should leave having built something rather than only taking notes.

November 6 shifts to “How Outliers Think.” The second day will feature candid and off-the-record conversations about the decisions, bets, and mindsets behind unconventional outcomes. Together, the two-day structure connects execution with the judgment required to choose what is worth building.

Announced Speakers

The first announced speakers include Ryan Hoover, founder of Product Hunt and general partner at Weekend Fund; Sahil Lavingia, founder and CEO of Gumroad; Andy Dunn, founder of Bonobos and Pie; Nadya Okamoto, co-founder and CMO of Pie and founder of August; Zach Sims, co-founder and CEO of Codecademy; Nat Eliason, head of Founders School; and Nik Sharma, founder and CEO of Sharma Brands.

Hosts Ankur Nagpal and Andrew Yeung are also included in the published lineup. Nagpal is listed as a general partner at USVC and founder of Carry and Teachable. Yeung is the founder of Fibe and Andrew's Mixers. The organizers say additional speakers will be announced.

Who the Summit Is For

The summit is designed for founders, creators, operators, builders, investors, and people combining those roles. According to the organizer, 4,298 people from 3,083 companies attended its events during 2024 and 2025. The organizer reports that 54% were founders, C-suite leaders, vice presidents, or investors, while 48% of participating founders had raised more than $1 million.

Those figures are organizer-reported, but they help explain the event's positioning. The summit is not built only for founders at one stage. It is aimed at people launching new ideas, operating profitable independent businesses, building venture-backed companies, and using technology to work across traditional professional boundaries.
