Juicebox Raises $80M in Series B Funding to Scale AI Recruiting Platform

Some startups raise capital. Others squeeze it. And then there are the ones that walk into the room like they already know where the exits are. Juicebox just pulled that move, locking down $80M in Series B funding at a $850M valuation, led by DST Global with Sequoia, Coatue, Y Combinator, NFDG, and Verified Capital leaning in. That is not just a vote of confidence. That is the venture world saying the future of recruiting probably looks a lot more like software and a lot less like scrolling through resumes at midnight.

Credit where it is due. Congratulations to Founder and CEO David Paffenholz and Co-founder Ishan Gupta for building something that cuts through the noise of a hiring market drowning in applications and starving for signal. Juicebox, founded in 2022 and part of Y Combinator’s Summer batch, is attacking one of the oldest problems in tech with a very modern weapon. Instead of waiting for candidates to wander in through the front door, the platform uses AI driven search and automation to hunt down the right people before the job board dust even settles.

And here is where the numbers start talking with a little bass in their voice. Juicebox now serves more than 5,000+ companies ranging from ambitious startups to Fortune 100 operators. The company reports that ARR has grown 3x since its Series A in 2025. That kind of growth does not happen because the pitch deck looked pretty. It happens because recruiters are tired of playing keyword bingo while the best candidates slip out the back door.

The product sits right in the middle of a hiring paradox. Companies receive more applications than ever, yet the best talent rarely applies cold. Juicebox leans into outbound recruiting powered by AI, letting teams search massive talent networks using natural language instead of Boolean gymnastics that feel like coding in a forgotten dialect. The result is a recruiting engine that behaves less like a filing cabinet and more like a radar system.

The fresh capital is expected to fuel product development, scale enterprise go to market efforts, and push Juicebox beyond San Francisco with plans for its first international office in London. Translation for anyone paying attention to the talent market. Recruiting is turning into a data game, and the teams that know how to surface signal from the noise are about to move a lot faster than the ones still refreshing LinkedIn.

And if you zoom out for a second, the real lesson sits quietly between the lines. Build something that solves a painful workflow. Prove it with real growth. Then bring in investors who know how to accelerate the machine. Juicebox did not just raise capital. They poured fuel into a system already gaining speed, and the hiring world might want to keep an eye on that dashboard.
