Reach Security Raises Over $50M Series B for Control Intelligence

Read-only access is an unusually revealing way to start a security sales conversation. Reach Security lets a customer connect an existing defensive product before asking the organization to change its settings, giving the supplier a chance to show what its analysis can explain about equipment already in service.

The San Francisco cybersecurity company announced more than $50M in Series B funding on October 13, 2026. Top Tier Capital Partners led the round, with Ballistic Ventures, In-Q-Tel, M12, Microsoft's venture fund, and existing investors participating. Reach also introduced Reach Everywhere, extending its security-control intelligence through APIs, an MCP server and integrations.

The commercial connection between those announcements is worth examining. Reach wants its understanding of deployed controls to travel into the systems where security decisions happen, expanding the number of workflows that depend on it. For enterprise operators, that puts evidence about a protection's current behavior closer to the people and software responsible for acting on it.

What Reach Security's Series B finances

Reach says the capital will support product innovation, additional integration partnerships, international expansion and growth in US enterprise and federal markets. The company reports that its customer base doubled over the preceding 12 months. The announcement leaves the baseline customer count, revenue and valuation undisclosed, while preserving the financing amount as a threshold above $50M.

The investment follows a $20M financing led by Ballistic Ventures in March 2024. Ballistic's original investment explanation emphasized helping organizations obtain more value from security products they had already purchased. That thesis provides useful continuity: Reach's newer AI interfaces extend an existing operating idea into more places where a buyer's decisions get made.

Co-founders Garrett Hamilton, CEO, and Colt Blackmore, CTO, bring experience building defensive products at companies including Palo Alto Networks and Proofpoint. Their current company applies that experience to the configuration and use of a customer's installed defenses. Hamilton leads a business whose expansion depends on persuading operators to let another supplier examine systems with considerable responsibility already attached to them.

For the investor group, the financing supports that expansion without supplying a public financial model. The disclosed plans explain the direction of spending; they leave the pace of hiring, individual integration commitments and market-entry timetable for Reach to establish as the work develops.

Why a control's current state changes the security decision

A security product can be installed, licensed and represented in an inventory while its configuration has moved away from what the organization intended. Reach's product materials describe finding misconfigurations, unused capabilities and configuration drift across existing identity, endpoint, email and network defenses. The platform prioritizes exposure and provides guidance for changing the controls involved.

That distinction matters to the operator allocating a team's next hour. A finding about a vulnerable asset and evidence about the protection surrounding it answer different questions. Understanding whether a deployed control already blocks a path can change which remediation belongs at the front of the queue, while a newly weakened rule can give an otherwise familiar system urgent significance.

Reach examined this operating problem in a September report based on 12 months of its production telemetry. The company analyzed more than 50 production environments and identified periods such as updates and patch cycles as sources of configuration change. Those findings describe Reach's observed environments, rather than a census of enterprise security.

Routine administrative work is part of the commercial opportunity. A business needs applications updated, users admitted and operational exceptions handled. A supplier that monitors the defensive consequences of those changes is offering help with work that keeps recurring after the original security purchase has been approved.

Reach Everywhere distributes evidence across existing workflows

Reach's AI integration materials describe a public API for security workflows and an MCP interface for AI tools. Reach Everywhere brings that approach into the latest announcement, making control context available beyond the company's own interface. Security operations, exposure management, incident response and compliance become potential consumers of the same underlying findings.

For a buyer, distribution can reduce the distance between discovering a configuration issue and assigning the work to somebody who can address it. A useful finding can enter an existing process with its evidence attached, rather than requiring another team to reconstruct the context. That is an operating interpretation of the product design, rather than a guaranteed reduction in remediation time.

An AI agent adds another consumer with a particular dependence on current information. An agent recommending a change needs to understand the control that will be affected, the configuration it is reading and the consequences of the proposed action. Reach's position is that its specialized control intelligence can provide that context to systems already being used for security work.

The company's integration directory lists products across identity, endpoint, network, email and change management, including Jira Cloud and ServiceNow ITSM. An integration listing establishes technical coverage described by Reach; it does not by itself establish a new partnership agreement, a customer relationship or unrestricted write access to another vendor's product.

Change control remains part of the product's commercial work

Reach describes staged verification of recommended configuration changes and remediation through existing ticketing and change-control workflows. Its read-only discovery entry point and its remediation process serve different purposes. The first lets the supplier inspect the environment; the second has to fit the customer's process for changing systems people continue to use.

That sequence gives the product a practical relationship to the business around the security team. A change can improve protection while affecting somebody else's application or access. Making the proposed action legible to the system owner is part of helping the organization carry it out, especially when several tools and teams share responsibility for the affected environment.

DevCuration's coverage of Workday's C1.ai acquisition announcement places identity decisions alongside this broader question of enterprise responsibility. Reach approaches the work through the behavior of installed security controls. The adjacent stories concern different mechanisms, with a common buyer obligation to understand what software is allowed to change.

Reach's expansion therefore carries an integration and operating commitment alongside its funding milestone. As more workflows consult its findings, the company has to keep the explanation current enough for the next person authorizing a patch, revisiting an exception or deciding how far an AI recommendation should travel into production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What problem does Reach Security address inside an existing security stack?

Reach examines how deployed identity, endpoint, email and network controls are configured. Its platform identifies defensive gaps and unused capabilities, then supports prioritized remediation and ongoing validation.

How does Reach Everywhere connect control evidence to AI workflows?

Reach Everywhere distributes security-control context through APIs, an MCP server and integrations. That gives other security workflows and AI tools access to the findings they need when evaluating exposure or recommending action.

How does Reach distinguish assessment from changes to production controls?

Reach describes read-only discovery as an entry point for assessing an existing tool. Its remediation process uses staged verification and existing ticketing or change-control workflows, so assessment access should not be confused with unrestricted production changes.

How will the Series B support Reach Security’s expansion?

Reach plans to invest in product development, more integration partnerships, international expansion and US enterprise and federal markets. The company has not published a detailed allocation of proceeds or an expansion timetable.

What financial and traction details remain undisclosed?

The Series B announcement states more than $50M, without an exact amount or valuation. Reach reports customer-base doubling over 12 months but does not provide the starting customer count, revenue or a complete lifetime-funding figure.
