Expo, the open-source backbone behind React Native development, just secured a Series B backed by Georgian, Leadout Capital, A.Capital Ventures, and Red Swan Ventures. This isn’t opportunistic capital chasing momentum. It’s informed capital doubling down on developer infrastructure that already proves its worth in the wild. The kind of bet you make when you see where the next wave of application development is actually forming.

Charlie Cheever and James Ide didn’t build Expo to impress conference crowds. They built it to remove friction that developers quietly tolerate because they have no better option.
