Dragonfly does not breathe fire. It studies it. Founded in 2018 with a $100M inaugural fund, Dragonfly was built to bridge East and West in crypto, pairing Alexander Pack and Bo Feng’s early conviction with a thesis that digital assets would not respect borders, only code and adoption curves. By 2022, the firm closed a $650M third venture fund, oversubscribed and unapologetically focused on crypto infrastructure, DeFi, smart contract scaling, and consumer crypto products. In a market addicted to hype cycles, Dragonfly positioned itself as a long-term allocator of attention and capital inside the global startup ecosystem.

Today, Managing Partners Haseeb Qureshi and Bo Feng anchor the platform, joined by General Partners Tom Schmidt and Rob Hadick, alongside Gengmo Qi, Sanat Kapur, Omar Kanji, and Junior Partner Robbie Petersen. Execution matters, so the operating spine is clear. Lindsay Lin serves as COO. Sylvia Liu as CFO. Chen Yuan as General Counsel. Casey Taylor leads portfolio support, with Tony Li focused on Asia and Amal M reinforcing founder operations. Hildebert Moulié drives data science. Joshua Lim tracks liquid markets. In crypto, signal decays quickly. Dragonfly built a team designed to process information at market speed and act before consensus forms.

The strategy is direct. Invest across sectors and stages, from seed to later rounds, in protocols, exchanges, and applications that form the rails and user layers of digital assets. The firm openly states it backs teams tackling big, wicked problems and has a bias toward ideas that initially look strange. That bias is not aesthetic. It is economic. Agora. Rain. Monad. Ethena. MegaEth. Polymarket. The spotlight portfolio reflects exposure to infrastructure, financial primitives, and crypto-native markets that sit at pressure points inside the evolving startup ecosystem.

Dragonfly’s differentiation is structural. It is crypto-only. It operates globally. It supports founders beyond the check. Dedicated portfolio support, data science, and liquid market analysis are not vanity roles; they are mechanisms for durability in an industry that trades 24 hours a day. When volatility spikes, capital is table stakes. Context is alpha. Dragonfly aims to provide both.

For founders building across borders and product layers, Dragonfly represents a firm that has raised meaningful capital, assembled specialized operators, and committed to crypto as a permanent category within the broader startup ecosystem. Many portfolio companies are hiring now. Explore the spotlight companies and their career pages if you want to build where infrastructure meets ambition. Capital moves markets. Builders move industries.
