Forgepoint Company Spotlight: AI Inside the Factory Office

Deployment has a place on Forgepoint's hiring board alongside engineering and sales. The New York company is recruiting people to help expand an AI product whose usefulness depends on understanding how a particular manufacturer does business, down to the information needed before a quote is ready for review.

Forgepoint builds Frank, an AI inside sales representative for manufacturing offices. Led by co-founders Jack Strauss, CEO, and Alex Pareto, CTO, the company works across the emails, drawings, pricing models and business systems that surround a request for quotation, or RFQ. Manufacturers retain approval over the commercial commitments Frank prepares.

Its $9.8M seed financing and current recruitment place the company in a consequential part of industrial AI: bringing software into work shaped by years of local decisions. For operators, the proposition is more quoting capacity and usable business records. For the supplier building it, each shop introduces another set of rules to learn and maintain.

What Forgepoint builds for manufacturers

Forgepoint's product description divides Frank's work into qualification, quoting, closing and tracking. The software reads incoming requests and attachments, gathers specifications, contacts buyers about missing information and drafts a price against the shop's model. That model can include materials, labor, margins and minimums, with the team reviewing the result before release.

After approval, Frank can send the quote, follow up and record the exchange. Those connected tasks put the product inside an existing sales process rather than requiring the customer to begin with a new form. The manufacturer continues to own the buyer relationship and the decisions about what it is willing to supply.

That gives the administrative work a commercial role. A request can contain information that several people need, yet still leave out a detail required to price the job. Organizing those facts before review can change what an estimator spends time doing, while preserving a reason for an engineer or sales leader to intervene.

Forgepoint also presents historical quotes, drawings and decisions as material Frank can use in subsequent work. The value of those records depends on context: why a price changed, which requirements belonged to the job and who approved an exception. Carrying that context forward is part of the product's promise to a shop whose employees already know a great deal.

The same workflow contains different industrial knowledge

Forgepoint's foundry documentation describes work involving casting processes, alloys, tooling, yield assumptions and machining requirements. Those inputs shape a reviewable draft, with technical exceptions and approval rules remaining part of the process. A drawing supplies information, but the foundry's capabilities determine what can sensibly be offered.

A metal service center brings a different set of questions. Forgepoint describes checking grade and dimensions, available stock in connected systems, customer-specific pricing, processing charges and freight. The shared sequence of qualifying and quoting therefore sits above materially different operating requirements.

These are the vendor's descriptions of intended product behavior. The pages do not establish a uniform accuracy rate across industries, and example names and orders shown in demonstrations are not evidence of customer contracts. Their useful contribution is the specificity of the work Forgepoint says it configures.

For a manufacturer considering the software, that specificity provides an agenda for a product evaluation. The conversation can begin with the actual information the business uses to accept and price work, including the exceptions that require review. Forgepoint's expansion will bring those conversations into more plants, where the familiar appearance of a quote can conceal very different assumptions.

Founders, customer learning and adoption

Jack Strauss brought experience from Northrop Grumman, Bain & Company's Advanced Manufacturing practice and Xwing. Alex Pareto previously led engineering for Brex's Spend Management organization. Their current employer profile identifies their leadership roles and describes a New York City team working in person.

The founders spent months visiting Midwest manufacturers in early 2025, observing how employees handled their work. Forgepoint's stated mission centers on improving American manufacturers' competitiveness through technology. The practical route into that ambition is an office task close enough to revenue that a shop can explain the consequences of getting it wrong or leaving it waiting.

The company announced a $9.8M seed round on October 14, 2026, led by Primary Venture Partners and a16z speedrun. It reports seven-figure annual recurring revenue within 6 months of Frank's launch and hundreds of weekly users. These are company-reported adoption measures, without a published customer-level revenue breakdown.

SIP Manufacturing is a named customer in the issuer announcement. The case gives readers a concrete business relationship to examine alongside the broader claims, while preserving the distinction between a testimonial and an independently measured result. DevCuration's funding coverage provides the financing details and the limits of the reported productivity figures.

Hiring and the boundaries around customer information

Forgepoint's official careers board listed 12 openings when checked for this profile. Deployment Strategist, Head of Deployment Strategy and Forward Deployed Engineer appeared alongside software engineering, commercial, operations and recruiting roles. All 12 listings identified New York City and on-site work; the count is a snapshot of advertised openings, not completed recruitment.

The mix suggests a company building capacity around implementation as well as product and sales. It is an interpretation of the roles being sought, rather than evidence of a specific staffing allocation. Each new deployment needs to connect the software with a manufacturer's records and working practices, making that customer-facing work relevant to the growth plan.

The information involved also makes trust a purchasing consideration. Forgepoint's security documentation says organizations' data is isolated, permissions govern sensitive work and actions and approvals are logged. It says customers and qualified prospects can request its SOC 2 Type II report; the report itself was not reviewed for this profile.

Prospective teammates can examine the current roles, and operators can use Forgepoint's product and security documentation to frame their own evaluation. Both conversations eventually reach the same plant-specific material: the drawings, prices and exceptions a business has accumulated, and the people who can explain how those records should guide the next customer request.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which kinds of manufacturing work does Forgepoint configure Frank to support?

Forgepoint describes industry-specific workflows for shops including foundries and metal service centers. Foundry quoting involves matters such as alloys and tooling, while a service center may need available stock, processing charges and freight.

How much control does a manufacturer keep over Frank's work?

Frank prepares requests and pricing for review, and the manufacturer retains approval over quotes. Forgepoint describes permissions, human approval rules and records of actions as part of the workflow.

What does Forgepoint's hiring board reveal about its expansion?

The official board listed 12 openings when checked, including deployment, engineering and commercial roles, all in New York City and on site. This is evidence of advertised hiring priorities, not a count of completed hires or proof of a growth rate.

How does Forgepoint describe the boundary around a shop's data?

Forgepoint says organizations' data is isolated and is not used to train models for other customers. It says qualified prospects can request its SOC 2 Type II report; the underlying audit report was not reviewed for this profile.

What should an operator examine when evaluating Forgepoint?

The useful starting point is the shop's real request, cost model, approval requirements and current systems. Forgepoint's industry and security documentation can help frame a discussion about deployment and access rather than relying solely on broad productivity claims.
