Court Square Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Cloud Communications Provider CallTower

Pressure shows up in different ways in this market. Not the loud, headline-chasing kind. The quieter kind. The kind that moves ownership, tightens focus, and signals that what was built is now ready to move faster. Court Square Capital Partners just acquired a majority stake in CallTower, pulling the asset from BV Investment Partners, who only stepped in back in 2023. That’s not a long hold. That’s a relay race. And when the baton moves that fast, it usually means one thing. Someone sees acceleration where others saw stability.

Let’s talk about what CallTower actually is, because this isn’t just another cloud story dressed up in industry filler. Since 2002, this South Jordan, Utah operation has been building the connective tissue of enterprise communication. Voice, video, messaging, contact center. Not as separate toys, but as one clean system that actually behaves like it belongs together. Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom. CallTower doesn’t pick sides. It wires the whole house and makes sure the lights don’t flicker.

Bret L. England has been steering this thing with the kind of consistency that doesn’t trend on social, but wins in boardrooms. Alongside Bret L. England, Kory Grushka has been shaping the technical backbone, making sure the product isn’t just functional, but dependable at scale. Because in this game, “it works” is table stakes. “It never breaks when it matters” is the product.

BV Investment Partners saw the foundation and helped tighten the frame. Now Court Square Capital Partners steps in, not to repaint the walls, but to add floors. More markets, deeper enterprise penetration, tighter integrations across a world that’s still pretending hybrid work is temporary.

Here’s the part people miss. This isn’t about communications. It’s about control. The companies that own the flow of conversation inside an enterprise quietly own speed, decision making, and ultimately revenue. CallTower sits right in that bloodstream. And when a firm like Court Square Capital Partners leans in, they’re not betting on what CallTower is. They’re betting on how many enterprises will realize they’ve outgrown duct-taped communication stacks.

Congratulations to Bret L. England, CEO, Kory Grushka, CTO, and the entire CallTower team. Also a nod to BV Investment Partners for building the bridge and knowing exactly when to cross it. Because in this market, timing isn’t luck. It’s pattern recognition with conviction.
