UltraSight Raises $24M Series B2 for Cardiac Ultrasound AI

UltraSight raised a $24M Series B2 on September 23, 2026 to expand its AI-guided cardiac-ultrasound workflow across U.S. health systems. Alive HealthTech Growth Fund led the financing, with Deep Insight, Star51 Capital, Connecticut Innovations, eHealth Ventures, Mayo Clinic Ventures, NYU, and Iron Nation participating.

The investment targets a practical healthcare constraint: useful cardiac imaging depends on the availability of trained acquisition and interpretation capacity at the moment a patient needs it. UltraSight is building around that operating gap, combining training, real-time acquisition guidance, analytics, and qualified physician oversight rather than treating the software as an autonomous replacement for an echo lab.

What UltraSight Announced

The company's official financing announcement says the Series B2 will support U.S. commercial expansion, new high-value workflows for intensive-care and circulatory-support settings, and strategic collaborations around the UltraSight Echosystem. The lead investor was Alive HealthTech Growth Fund, joined by Deep Insight, Star51 Capital, Connecticut Innovations, and eHealth Ventures. Existing investors Mayo Clinic Ventures, NYU, and Iron Nation also participated.

UltraSight did not disclose its valuation, revenue, ownership terms, or the identities and contract values of individual health-system customers. CTech reported that the new round brings total capital raised since founding to $42M. That total is independent reporting rather than a figure included in the company's current release, although UltraSight separately confirmed a $13M Series B in 2021.

The Workflow UltraSight Is Selling

Cardiac ultrasound depends on more than access to a machine. Someone must acquire the correct views, recognize whether image quality is sufficient, route the study for interpretation, and connect the result to a clinical decision. That sequence becomes harder when hospitals face staffing shortages, inconsistent training, multiple ultrasound-device types, or patients who need assessment outside a conventional echo lab.

UltraSight's Echosystem combines structured training, real-time AI guidance, and advanced analytics. Its guidance software helps trained clinicians position and orient the probe while collecting focused cardiac-ultrasound images, with qualified physicians retaining responsibility for interpretation and reporting. The company says this approach can help health systems use compatible ultrasound fleets they already own rather than requiring a wholesale hardware replacement.

The regulatory boundary is important. FDA 510(k) K251416 covers UltraSight Guidance as software that assists medical professionals, excluding expert sonographers, in acquiring 10 standard two-dimensional adult transthoracic echocardiography views. The clearance supports image acquisition on compatible general-purpose ultrasound systems; it does not establish unsupervised diagnosis or eliminate physician oversight.

What the Clinical Evidence Shows

A JAMA Cardiology diagnostic study published online on August 28, 2026 evaluated an AI-enabled workflow for detecting moderate or greater aortic stenosis. In the prospective cohort, novice operators acquired focused cardiac-ultrasound examinations for 1,302 participants, and 1,258 exams, or 96.6%, were suitable for automated analysis. The AI-only interpretation produced 93% sensitivity and 96% specificity in that cohort.

The study also illustrates why oversight remains part of the commercial product. Expert review of AI-positive and uninterpretable exams increased positive predictive value from 49.4% to 91.1% while requiring review of roughly 10% of examinations. That result supports a more scalable triage or screening workflow for aortic stenosis in settings with limited echocardiography resources, but it should not be generalized into proof across every cardiac condition or care environment.

Mayo Clinic researchers conducted the study, Mayo Clinic Ventures participated in the round, and UltraSight's announcement discloses that Mayo has a financial interest in the technology. Those relationships do not erase the peer-reviewed findings, but they belong in the evidence record when operators evaluate the product and its supporting research.

Why the Series B2 Matters

UltraSight reports that its Echosystem is deployed across more than 10 commercial sites spanning intensive-care settings. That is meaningful company-reported traction because it places the product inside real clinical workflows, but the company has not disclosed customer-level outcomes, revenue, renewal data, or implementation economics. The Series B2 therefore finances the work between regulatory clearance and repeatable health-system adoption.

That work is operational. UltraSight must train clinicians, support compatible devices, maintain image-quality standards, preserve physician oversight, integrate reporting, and prove that faster access to cardiac imaging improves the decisions surrounding a patient. In ICU and circulatory-support settings, the value proposition depends on whether those pieces work together under time pressure, not whether one algorithm performs well in isolation.

Leadership and Investor Alignment

CEO Davidi Vortman leads UltraSight alongside co-founder and CTO Itay Kezurer, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer Achi Ludomirsky, and co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer Yaron Lipman. The current financing also brings governance changes: Rick Geoffrion was recently appointed board chair, while Alive co-founder Dudi Klein, Star51 founding managing partner Tal Wenderow, and Deep Insight managing partner Barak Ben-Eliezer are joining the board.

That board composition connects capital to medical-device commercialization, healthcare investing, cardiac care, and deep technology. It also raises the standard for execution because investor participation now reaches directly into the governance of the next expansion phase. The useful question is whether those relationships help UltraSight move from promising evidence and early deployments into repeatable purchasing, implementation, and clinical-use patterns.

What Comes Next

UltraSight's opportunity is not simply to make cardiac-ultrasound software more intelligent. It is to make a scarce clinical workflow more available without weakening the acquisition, review, and interpretation controls that give the images meaning. The company has regulatory clearances, peer-reviewed evidence, reported deployment across more than 10 sites, and new capital aimed at U.S. adoption.

The next record will be built inside health systems, where training, device compatibility, physician oversight, and patient-management decisions meet. UltraSight's Series B2 gives the company more room to prove that the Echosystem can turn those moving parts into repeatable clinical capacity across each new deployment.
