RapidCanvas Raises $29M Series B for Managed Enterprise AI

RapidCanvas says the business context its engineers capture belongs to the enterprise paying for the work. That ownership promise gives its new financing a useful starting point: custom AI delivery can leave a customer with a growing record of how its own operations function, as well as an application.

The Austin, Texas company announced a $29M Series B on October 16, 2026, bringing reported total funding to $52.5M. Vertex Ventures SEA & India led the round, with Hitachi Ventures and returning investors Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures participating. The financing will expand a delivery model that combines software subscriptions with engineers who remain responsible after deployment.

For enterprises trying to put AI inside daily decisions, that arrangement changes the buying conversation. RapidCanvas is offering to carry more of the implementation relationship itself, while building tools that can make the next engagement less dependent on starting from scratch. The investor interest sits in that combination of continuing human responsibility and reusable software.

What RapidCanvas's Series B will finance

RapidCanvas plans to expand its go-to-market team, deepen private-equity and advisory partnerships, and add field AI engineering capacity across the US, Brazil and India. It also intends to invest in its Enterprise Context Engine, Visual Development Canvas and Operational Harness. These are planned uses of proceeds; the announcement supplies no spending allocation or hiring target.

The financing follows a $16M Series A announced in December 2024, led by Peak XV Partners. Titanium Ventures, Accel and Valley Capital Partners also participated in that earlier round, which brought reported funding to more than $23.5M at the time. The current $52.5M total is consistent with adding the new $29M to the prior disclosed base. The company has not disclosed a final Series B valuation.

Co-founders Rahul Pangam, CEO, and Uttam Phalnikar, CTO, previously built Simility, the risk-management company acquired by PayPal. RapidCanvas dates its own founding to 2021. Their present business takes on the problem of translating enterprise knowledge into applications that can stay useful after the first deployment, a job that places continuing demands on both the engineering organization and the product.

That gives the new capital two connected destinations. More engineers can support more customer work, while product investment can make parts of that work easier to repeat. The financing supports both activities without revealing how quickly their costs will diverge as the business grows.

Why business knowledge becomes part of the product

RapidCanvas's Enterprise Context Engine captures requirements, process knowledge, data schemas and decision history. The company describes this context as enterprise-owned. That matters because a custom application depends on decisions that may never have been written into a software specification: which exception receives attention, what a field means, or how an approval actually travels through the organization.

The ownership statement should be read at its stated scope. It concerns captured enterprise context; the announcement does not establish ownership of every platform component, source-code portability or the terms for leaving the service. Those are contract questions a buyer would still need to settle. A clear account of what remains available to the customer becomes especially useful as more workflows depend on the same supplier. The value of recovering institutional knowledge also runs through DevCuration's reporting on Hypercubic, which approaches that work through legacy software.

The Visual Development Canvas is the construction layer, drawing on a skills library to support application development. The Operational Harness addresses management and governance once the application is running. Together, those products describe an effort to preserve useful knowledge across the work of understanding, building and operating an AI system.

A sales-prospecting solution described by RapidCanvas makes the context problem concrete. It combines ideal-customer criteria, CRM activity, outside information and institutional sales knowledge to help prioritize accounts. A scoring system in that setting needs more than a list of prospective companies. It needs the organization's reasons for considering one account a better fit than another, along with enough history to make the recommendation intelligible to a salesperson.

What the reported expansion tells investors

In its own Series B announcement, Vertex Ventures SEA & India reports that RapidCanvas grew annual recurring revenue 8x over 6 quarters and that more than 40% of customers now run multiple AI use cases in production. The company also reports more than 75 enterprises making 1.4M AI-led decisions through applications built on its platform during 2026. Those are company-reported measures, rather than independently audited financial results.

The multiple-use-case figure is particularly relevant to this delivery model. When a customer adds another application, the supplier has an opportunity to use business knowledge gathered during earlier work. The commercial value of that knowledge depends on whether it helps the next project reach a useful result with less repeated discovery, integration and explanation.

Neither absolute ARR nor gross margins were disclosed. The reported growth therefore leaves room for a wide range of financial outcomes. An expanding subscription base can carry substantial engineering commitments, and a reusable software library can help delivery without removing the need for people to interpret a customer's decisions.

Vertex's stated investment rationale emphasizes a platform that benefits from deployment experience and customers expanding into additional functions. Hitachi Ventures similarly describes an interest in making hands-on engineering more repeatable. The two arguments converge on an operating ambition: accumulate enough useful product capability that serving the next customer benefits from the work already done, while retaining the judgment that made the earlier delivery useful.

Where partner distribution meets local operating reality

RapidCanvas identifies enterprises with revenue between $100M and $10B as its target market. Its pitch addresses businesses with AI ambitions that need help carrying an application through implementation and ongoing operation. The company is positioning subscriptions and field engineering as an alternative to buying a development platform and separately assembling all the expertise required to use it.

Its planned private-equity and advisory expansion could make that proposition travel further. A partner serving several businesses has a reason to prefer an implementation method it can understand and introduce repeatedly. The same partner also has to respect the differences between those businesses: a shared financial owner does not give every portfolio company the same data definitions, approval habits or customer obligations.

This is where the three-product architecture and the field team have to work together. The reusable layer can carry technical capability; the engineers still have to identify what a particular organization means when it says a process is working. Partner distribution increases the number of introductions, and each introduction begins another exercise in learning the customer.

The Series B gives Pangam and Phalnikar resources to grow that relationship across more enterprises and more functions. As their partner network expands, the Context Engine will be asked to retain knowledge from a wider range of operations, while the field engineers remain the people responsible for turning the next customer's explanation into something the business can run.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does RapidCanvas mean by customer-owned enterprise context?

RapidCanvas says its Enterprise Context Engine captures business-process knowledge, requirements, schemas and decision history that the enterprise owns. That statement does not by itself establish source-code ownership or portability of every platform component; those terms require contractual review.

Why does RapidCanvas include field engineers with its AI platform?

Its field AI engineers learn a customer's processes, build custom applications and remain accountable after delivery. The model combines those services with an agentic platform at subscription pricing, addressing businesses that need implementation expertise as well as tools.

How could multiple AI use cases change RapidCanvas delivery economics?

Additional applications can draw on business context and reusable software developed during earlier work. Whether this lowers delivery costs enough to improve margins remains undisclosed; the company has not published gross margins in its Series B announcement.

What do RapidCanvas's reported growth figures establish?

Management reports 8x ARR growth over 6 quarters and more than 40% of customers running multiple production AI use cases. These are company-reported expansion indicators; without absolute ARR or audited financial statements they do not establish profitability or unit economics.

Why are private-equity and advisory partners part of the expansion plan?

RapidCanvas plans to expand partners that can introduce its managed AI execution model to portfolio companies and clients. That can broaden distribution, although each business still requires its own context and implementation work.
