Houston has a way of producing companies that feel like field notes instead of pitch decks, and PraxisPro reads exactly like that. Founded in 2023, this is not a lab fantasy about AI saving sales. This is Cameron Badger watching the same training failures repeat across pharma floors, ride alongs, and launch cycles, then deciding the problem was not effort or spend but the absence of practice that actually counts. Sales teams were trained to pass tests, not to perform. PraxisPro starts where real conversations start, in the moment before a clinician pushes back.
The origin story matters because the product mirrors it. Cameron Badger spent years in pharmaceutical sales and leadership roles, saw fragmented coaching and compliance theater everywhere, and finally compared notes with Benjamin Alouf, MD, MBA, a healthcare operator with three decades of scar tissue across digital health and care delivery. That conversation did not drift into theory. It locked onto one idea. If life sciences teams cannot safely practice real healthcare provider conversations at scale, performance will always lag intent. Bhrugu Giri joined as Co-Founder and CTO, bringing more than twenty years of engineering and fintech infrastructure experience, and the build became inevitable.
PraxisPro closed a $6M seed round led by AlleyCorp, with participation from Flybridge Capital Partners, South Loop Ventures, Zeal Capital Partners, True Ventures, Techstars, Alumni Ventures Group, and Daring Ventures. The round closed January 20, 2026, building on a $1M pre-seed raised in March 2025 led by South Loop Ventures. $7M total. No valuation theatrics. Just fuel.
What they are fueling is a compliance first, AI powered training platform designed for pharma, biotech, and medical device teams who do not get second chances with regulators or clinicians. PraxisPlay lets reps rehearse with simulated healthcare providers who push back like the real ones do. PraxisPAL structures learning and certification without losing the thread of the field. PraxisCoach keeps every coaching moment inside medical, legal, and regulatory guardrails. Praxis is not a slogan here. It is repetition with consequences.
The technical choice is the tell. PraxisPro uses small language models trained only on life sciences data. No wandering off label improvisation. No hallucinated confidence. Accuracy beats novelty when patient safety and FDA rules are in the room. Two patent applications are already filed, and the platform is live with paying customers as of January 2026, run by a team still under ten people and moving like it knows exactly where the friction lives.
Omar Njie, MD, MPH of AlleyCorp is backing a company that understands healthcare nuance instead of fighting it. Techstars has already put its shoulder behind the founders. Cameron Badger, Benjamin Alouf, MD, MBA, and Bhrugu Giri are not selling a vision of training. They are selling readiness. And in life sciences, readiness is the only edge that compounds.
