Brooklyn is not known for cybersecurity swagger, which is exactly why Outtake works. Founded in October 2023, headquartered at 1 N 4th Place in Williamsburg, Outtake comes from the kind of street where you learn fast or you get embarrassed. Alex Arjun Dhillon learned fast at Palantir, nearly five years deep in zero to one work where pattern recognition is not theory, it is survival. The pattern was obvious. AI made impersonation cheap, fast, and scalable. Enterprise defense stayed slow, manual, and fragmented. That gap is where Outtake was born.

On January 28, 2026, Outtake announced a $40 million Series B led by ICONIQ Capital, pushing total capital raised to $60 million. The round was oversubscribed, which tracks when your product compresses 30 to 60 day threat response cycles down to 18 to 36 hours. CRV and S32 returned. Murali Joshi, newly promoted General Partner at ICONIQ, joined the board, bringing a track record that spans Datadog, Anthropic, 1Password, Drata, Procore, and Fivetran. Capital follows pattern recognition too.

The angel list reads less like a cap table and more like a control room. Satya Nadella. Nikesh Arora. Bill Ackman. Shyam Sankar. Trae Stephens. Bob McGrew. Guillermo Rauch. John Donovan. Builders, operators, allocators, and security lifers all placing a bet on the same premise. Identity is now the soft underbelly of the internet, and soft targets do not survive long once AI shows up with a crowbar.

Outtake’s agents do not wait for tickets. They scan millions of digital surfaces across social platforms, domains, app stores, ad networks, and the open web. In 2025 alone, the platform scanned 20 million potential attacks, processed over 17 million alerts, and completed more than 4 million investigations. Enforcement is automated, auditable, and fast enough to matter. That speed shows up in the numbers. Since the Series A in April 2025, ARR is up 6x. Enterprise customers are up more than 10x. Headcount jumped from 12 to 35, a 250 percent climb without losing product velocity.

Customers include OpenAI, Pershing Square Capital Management, AppLovin, Fortescue Metals Group, Scicomm Media, and U.S. federal agencies who do not tolerate theater. Outtake expanded to San Francisco in January 2026 to stay close to a growing West Coast base, but the signal stays Brooklyn. Build something that works, prove it under pressure, then scale it with discipline.
