OptimizeGEO Adds Michael Kassan for AI Discovery Growth

A brand's product facts can travel farther than the team that wrote them. Reviews, retailer listings and published coverage can become ingredients in an AI-generated recommendation, leaving marketers responsible for an introduction they never approved. OptimizeGEO is building software to help those teams follow the information into the answer and decide what to change.

On October 1, 2026, the company announced that Michael Kassan had joined as a personal investor and strategic advisor. Cofounders Kirthiga Reddy, CEO, and Saurabh Doshi are expanding a business that says it serves more than 100 brand clients across 20 countries. Kassan brings a disclosed remit covering global go-to-market strategy, enterprise relationships and partnerships.

Adweek reports that the investment is part of a pre-Series A led by Young Capital at an $80M valuation. The investment amount is undisclosed. The commercial story concerns the work a marketing organization takes on when an AI assistant becomes part of a customer's buying process, and the enterprise relationships needed to sell tools for that work.

The investment and the people behind it

Michael Kassan founded MediaLink and is founder and CEO of 3C Ventures. OptimizeGEO's announcement identifies him as both an investor and advisor, with responsibilities that extend into how the company reaches customers and develops its category. His personal investment should be kept distinct from any assumption that 3C Ventures made an institutional investment. Neither the release nor the available original reporting supplies the size of his check.

The reported $80M valuation establishes a different fact from the amount of financing received. Adweek's pre-Series A characterization and Young Capital's reported lead role belong with that attribution. The company release does not set out a full round ledger, cumulative funding total, ownership terms or allocation of proceeds. Putting an $80M raised figure into this record would erase that distinction and give readers a transaction the sources did not announce.

Reddy and Doshi have experience with an earlier change in brand discovery. OptimizeGEO's founder history identifies Reddy as Facebook India's first employee and former MD, and a former SoftBank partner. Doshi previously worked in leadership at Meta APAC and at Viacom18. Their relevance here is practical: both built careers around platforms through which brands found customers, and now run a company helping marketers understand another set of intermediaries.

What happens after the visibility score

OptimizeGEO describes a platform that measures brand visibility, share of voice, sentiment and citations across major AI services. Its feature documentation includes source mapping, prompt analysis and recommendations. That creates a way to inspect the ingredients behind an answer rather than treating a mention count as the whole marketing result. A team can examine where a description came from and whether the information still represents its business accurately.

The company also describes agents that implement approved recommendations, with human review built into the workflow. Work can involve content, technical changes, media and commerce. This makes the approval process part of the product's value: somebody in the brand organization still decides which correction is accurate, what can be published and which commercial opportunity deserves effort. A generated recommendation creates a responsibility for the team receiving it.

SKU-level commerce tracking adds another useful dimension. A brand can ask which products an AI engine recommends and which retailers it points the buyer toward. That destination belongs in the marketing conversation because a favorable answer about a product and a sale through a particular channel are different outcomes. OptimizeGEO's product design brings the information, proposed action and commercial destination into the same discussion, while the company's claims about resulting growth still need to be understood within each engagement.

Global clients and a local buying decision

OptimizeGEO's October announcement reports more than 100 brand clients across 20 countries. Those figures describe company-reported adoption, with no disclosed audited revenue, retention or contract-value data attached. They nevertheless establish the breadth the company is claiming as Kassan takes on an advisory role centered on global enterprise relationships. Selling that breadth requires a team to understand both the corporate buyer and the market where an answer is being produced.

The company's careers page describes a distributed team across the United States, United Kingdom, UAE and India. It lists openings in customer success, technical SEO and AI search, agency sales support, key accounts and business development, growth marketing, sales operations and design. These listings show current recruiting interests; the announcement does not tie them to a specified hiring budget or use-of-proceeds commitment.

The operating consequence of multi-market discovery is easy to miss in a single dashboard. A corporate brand may maintain one identity while product availability, retailers, customer language and buying context differ by country. For a marketing team, useful measurement needs enough context to decide whose work comes next. Kassan's enterprise and partnership remit sits close to that handoff, where product usefulness has to become an understood commercial relationship.

A marketing category with several owners

DevCuration's coverage of Profound's AI marketing platform and Emberos' AI brand management work places OptimizeGEO in a wider software conversation. Those companies pursue adjacent work around AI representation and marketing execution. Their presence makes clear why a brand buyer needs to understand what each product actually owns, without assuming that neighboring product descriptions establish interchangeable capabilities or comparative performance.

OptimizeGEO's published pricing offers brand plans beginning at $499 per month, with a 12-month minimum commitment for its Standard and Pro tiers. That makes the category a recurring purchasing decision. A team considering the software has to connect the monitored prompts, supported workflows and approval responsibilities with the people and budget already carrying its marketing work. A large client count alone cannot answer those questions for the next buyer.

Kassan joins the company while that buying conversation is taking shape. For Reddy and Doshi, enterprise relationships must carry an explanation of where an AI answer can be inspected, where a brand can intervene and who approves the intervention. The investment puts another experienced commercial operator alongside the founders as those responsibilities move from a demonstration into the customer's working week.
