MIND Raises $72M to Rebuild DLP for the AI Agent Era

MIND is treating data loss prevention as an operating-speed problem. The Seattle-based cybersecurity company has raised a $72M Series B led by Crosspoint Capital Partners, with existing investors YL Ventures and Paladin Capital Group participating.

The September 17, 2026 financing gives MIND more capital to automate the work behind enterprise data security as generative AI and autonomous agents gain access to sensitive information. MIND reports $112M in total funding and says the new capital will support product development, enterprise expansion, technology and channel partnerships, and team growth.

What Happened

The Series B arrives one year after MIND's $30M Series A, which Paladin and Crosspoint led with participation from Okta Ventures and YL Ventures. MIND emerged from stealth in 2024 with an announced $11M seed round led by YL Ventures.

Those publicly announced rounds add to $113M, while MIND and current reporting state $112M in total funding. The difference may reflect rounding or transaction accounting, but the company has not published a reconciliation. DevCuration is therefore using MIND's reported $112M total rather than presenting the historical arithmetic as settled.

Calcalist/CTech reported that the Series B valued MIND at approximately $300M, that Crosspoint invested about $35M, and that the round contained no secondary sale. MIND's official announcement did not disclose valuation, ownership, board changes, or other financing terms.

Why AI Changes the DLP Workload

Traditional data loss prevention assumes that security teams can define sensitive data, write policies, investigate alerts, manage exceptions, and respond before information escapes. That work was already difficult when people moved files through familiar applications. AI agents can now read, combine, and transfer information across connected systems at a pace that turns a noisy queue into a control problem.

MIND's platform is built to discover and classify sensitive data across SaaS applications, GenAI tools, agentic AI systems, endpoints, on-premises file shares, and email. The company says its multi-layer classification engine evaluates both content and context, while its AI DLP Agents can investigate incidents, create classifiers, tune policies, review exceptions, remediate exposure, and block risky activity according to the customer's rules.

That operating model leaves an important boundary in place. Security leaders still determine strategy, policy, and which actions may run automatically. MIND is trying to reduce the repetitive work between those decisions, which is different from handing an enterprise's data policy to an unsupervised agent.

The Growth Behind the Round

MIND says revenue grew more than 17x and customer count grew 8x over the past year. The company describes an eight-figure revenue business trusted by dozens of customers, with billions of data events analyzed in real time and sensitive-data protection operating across hundreds of thousands of endpoints.

These are company-reported metrics, not independently audited results. Calcalist/CTech separately reported an annual revenue run rate of approximately $10M and a workforce of about 70 people, including 40 in Israel and the remainder in the United States. MIND's announcement also includes customer accounts from Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the National Geographic Society describing controls around AI tools and visibility into interactions between data and agents.

The company says it was the first data-security provider accepted into Anthropic's Cyber Verification Program and the first in its category to earn ISO/IEC 42001 certification for responsible AI. MIND's trust center lists ISO/IEC 42001:2023 alongside SOC 2 Type 2, ISO/IEC 27001:2022, HIPAA, GDPR, and other compliance programs.

The People and Investor Logic

Eran Barak, co-founder and CEO, built MIND with co-founder and CTO Itai Schwartz and co-founder and VP of R&D Hod Bin Noon. The company's current leadership page also lists Tyson Hempel as chief revenue officer, Jimmy Tsang as chief marketing officer, Tom Mayblum as VP of product, and Dor Amitai as head of design.

Crosspoint's lead role connects the financing to the history of the category. The firm focuses on cybersecurity and infrastructure software, and its team includes executives with experience at Symantec and Blue Coat, companies that helped shape enterprise DLP and adjacent security markets. Crosspoint managing director Zach Sivertson said MIND's progress since the Series A and its RSAC Innovation Sandbox selection deepened the firm's conviction.

YL Ventures led MIND's seed round, while Paladin and Crosspoint led the Series A. Their continued participation gives MIND a syndicate with deep cybersecurity experience, but it also raises the standard of execution. The company must prove that autonomous operations can reduce noise and labor without weakening the policy ownership, auditability, and control that enterprise buyers require.

What the Series B Changes

The financing gives MIND room to expand beyond the early proof that customers will buy a different DLP experience. Product development can push more classification, investigation, policy, and remediation work into the platform, while channel investment can put that operating model in front of larger enterprise buyers.

The commercial challenge will travel with the product. Data security is bought by organizations that expect evidence, deployment discipline, and clear responsibility when an automated decision is wrong. MIND's reported growth shows demand for relief from legacy DLP operations, but public sources do not disclose retention, margins, customer concentration, independent false-positive benchmarks, or audited outcome data.

MIND now has the capital and category partners to test its central idea at greater scale: as software gains agency, data protection must become faster without becoming less accountable. Every new customer environment will add another set of policies, exceptions, people, and agents to that test.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is AI changing data loss prevention?

Generative AI tools and autonomous agents can access and move sensitive information across connected systems much faster than traditional manual review. That increases the value of context-aware classification, policy enforcement, investigation, and prevention that can operate at machine speed while security teams retain control of strategy and permissions.

What does MIND's platform do?

MIND discovers and classifies sensitive data across SaaS, GenAI, agentic AI, endpoints, on-premises file shares, and email. Its platform is designed to detect risky activity, investigate incidents, tune policies, remediate exposure, block data loss, and coach users according to an organization's rules.

Who invested in MIND's Series B?

Crosspoint Capital Partners led MIND's $72M Series B. Existing investors YL Ventures and Paladin Capital Group also participated.

How much funding has MIND raised?

MIND reports $112M in total funding. Its publicly announced $11M seed, $30M Series A, and $72M Series B add to $113M, so the company-reported total should be treated as the authoritative disclosed figure until the $1M difference is reconciled.

What will MIND do with the new funding?

MIND says it will accelerate product development, expand across key enterprise markets, deepen technology and channel partnerships, and grow its team. The company has not disclosed exact hiring targets or a detailed deployment timetable.
