Higgsfield Raises $80M in Series A Extension Funding for AI Video Platform

Higgsfield AI just closed an $80M Series A extension and did it without raising its voice. Founded in Oct 2023 and now valued at $1.3B, this is not growth theater. This is physics. Mass, velocity, inevitability. Alex Mashrabov has been here before. After scaling generative AI to hundreds of M users at Snap and selling AI Factory for $166M, the move was not to chase foundation models. It was to build the layer that actually turns them into revenue.

The platform went live in Apr 2025 and hit $10M ARR in weeks. By Nov it cleared $100M. By Jan 2026 it reached a $200M annualized run rate. Nine months from launch. 15M users. 4.5M videos generated every day. That kind of output is not curiosity, it is operational dependence. When 75% of revenue comes from outside the US, the signal is clear. This problem is global and the buyers are already lined up.

The extension was led by Accel, with GFT Ventures, Menlo Ventures, and AI Capital Partners doubling down. When the same investors return with larger checks, that is not momentum investing. That is conviction. Jeff Herbst at GFT Ventures has seen platforms scale across cycles. Higgsfield AI is scaling exactly where budgets already exist, marketing, commerce, and content that must perform before the scroll ends.

The product is where this gets sharp. Higgsfield AI does not train foundation models. It orchestrates them. OpenAI Sora 2, Google Veo 3, Alibaba WAN, Kling, InfiniteTalk, all routed through a deterministic workflow that feels closer to directing than prompting. Cinema Studio treats video like physics: lenses, sensors, motion, continuity. Lipsync Studio handles voice and performance without the uncanny tax. Drop in a URL and watch it turn into campaign ready video. This is not novelty. This is throughput.

The team composition explains the execution. Alex Mashrabov sets the tempo. Yerzat Dulat builds the engine. Mahi de Silva brings two decades of NVIDIA scale and enterprise gravity. Weekly product releases. Global payments. $200M+ processed monthly through Stripe. A system designed to remove friction, not add dashboards.

Higgsfield is a name borrowed from physics, the invisible field that gives particles mass. That feels right. Because what they are really doing is giving creative ideas weight, speed, and direction at internet scale. The funding is just the observable effect. The field was already there, bending the market around it.
