Trinity Hunt Backs Fisher Management Partners Platform

Fisher Management Partners has received a private-equity investment from Trinity Hunt Partners, becoming the foundational company in a new value-creation services platform. The firms announced the transaction on August 11, 2026, and did not disclose the investment amount, ownership stake, valuation, or other financial terms.

Fisher founder and Managing Partner Todd Fisher and the firm's existing partners will continue leading the Columbus, Ohio consulting business. Trinity Hunt and Fisher plan to expand the platform by partnering with consulting firms that add capabilities, geographic reach, or industry specialization.

The transaction puts institutional capital behind a consulting model built around senior practitioners working beside middle-market clients through execution. The opportunity is to make more expertise available without losing the proximity that made Fisher useful in the first place.

What Happened

The official transaction announcement describes Fisher as the first investment in a platform focused on operational excellence, performance improvement, and enterprise transformation. Fisher works across business strategy, sales and marketing, operations and supply chain, finance, people, and technology.

Fisher was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Columbus. The firm says its senior-level Working Partners collaborate directly with middle-market clients to turn strategy into measurable operating results. That delivery model matters because the problems Fisher addresses rarely remain inside one function. A pricing decision can change sales operations, expose data limitations, trigger a technology project, and require new decision rights across the organization.

Trinity Hunt is a Dallas-based private-equity firm focused on services businesses. The firm said in the announcement that it manages more than $2B and supplies strategic, operational, and financial resources to help entrepreneurial services companies grow.

The Transaction Language and What Remains Undisclosed

Fisher and Trinity Hunt describe the deal as an investment. Dinsmore & Shohl, which advised Fisher, described it as a sale of Fisher's business to Trinity Hunt and said the work included acquisition structure, tax, employment, corporate matters, and a complex reorganization.

Those descriptions establish that this was a private-equity transaction involving a sale and acquisition structure, but they do not establish the percentage acquired or the consideration paid. No public source reviewed for this article disclosed whether Trinity Hunt purchased a majority or minority stake, which fund made the investment, or when a legal closing occurred. The article therefore treats the event as an investment and platform formation without assigning unsupported control terms.

Kirkland & Ellis served as legal adviser to Trinity Hunt. Copper Run and Dinsmore & Shohl advised Fisher. The transaction's amount, valuation, and detailed terms remain undisclosed.

Why Fisher Is the Platform Foundation

Fisher's operating idea is that strategy creates value only when somebody stays close enough to help the organization execute it. The firm describes its Working Partners as experienced leaders who collaborate directly with clients rather than handing a recommendation to a distant delivery layer.

That approach is visible in Todd Fisher's background. Fisher's official biography says the founder and Managing Partner has 35 years of experience with large and mid-sized businesses. Before forming the consulting firm, Todd Fisher led merger-integration work at Cardinal Health after working at Arthur Andersen and Andersen Consulting. The biography credits him with completing more than 20 acquisitions at Cardinal Health, experience directly relevant to the integration work now facing Fisher's own platform.

For Trinity Hunt, Fisher offers a base that already spans multiple operating functions and works with the middle market. Instead of building a platform around a single technical specialty, the investment begins with a firm organized around the handoffs between strategy, process, technology, finance, commercial execution, and people.

The Expansion Plan

Trinity Hunt and Fisher said they are actively looking for partnerships with consulting firms that contribute complementary capabilities, geographies, or industry specializations. That language makes acquisition-led expansion an explicit part of the thesis rather than a future possibility inferred from private equity ownership.

George Morgan, the Trinity Hunt Partner quoted in the announcement, serves on the firm's investment committee and is responsible for deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio-company growth initiatives. His official profile lists Fisher among his associated active investments and also shows experience across other services platforms.

The immediate opportunity is straightforward: a broader platform can offer clients more specialists, reach more markets, invest in talent and technology, and combine adjacent practices. The operating challenge is equally concrete. A consulting platform grows by adding firms, while a trusted adviser often wins work because senior people remain visible, accountable, and close to the client's decisions.

What This Signals for Middle-Market Consulting

The announcement calls management consulting highly fragmented. That fragmentation creates room for a sponsor to assemble a larger organization from firms that already own client relationships, specialist knowledge, and local credibility. The model can give independent consulting teams access to capital and shared resources while giving the platform new routes into client organizations.

The market signal is not that scale automatically improves advice. It is that investors see value in the layer between a strategic plan and the operating results a client can measure. Middle-market companies often need cross-functional execution but may not want the cost, distance, or complexity associated with a global consultancy. A platform that preserves senior attention while widening its capabilities could address that gap.

Fisher now has to make that combination real inside its own business. Each future partnership will add expertise and integration work at the same time. The platform's progress will become visible in whether new firms can share resources and expand client service without weakening the Working Partner model that Fisher and Trinity Hunt placed at the center of the announcement.
