Circadence Receives $16.4M Investment from Seneca Partners to Grow AI-Native Cyber Readiness and Range Training Platform

Circadence just stepped into a higher category of readiness with a $16.4M investment round landing right when the cybersecurity world needs sharper tools and sharper minds. When threats evolve at machine speed, training humans with yesterday’s playbook is like bringing a flip phone to a quantum party. Circadence is building the proving ground where cyber defenders actually learn to move at the tempo of the threat.

Credit where it is due. Congratulations to Michael Moniz, CEO and Founder of Circadence, and the entire crew behind the mission. The round was led by Seneca Partners, with Managing Director Mike Skaff stepping in with conviction that the cyber readiness category is about to matter even more than people realize. Investors do not lean in like that unless they see something real forming beneath the noise.

Circadence has been living in the cyber range world for years, and the metaphor is perfect. Pilots do not learn by reading manuals. They learn in simulators where the stakes feel real and mistakes become lessons instead of headlines. Cybersecurity needs the same muscle memory. That is where platforms like Project Ares GEN3 come in, creating high fidelity environments where defenders sharpen instincts against live fire scenarios before the chaos hits production systems.

Now layer in RangeGPT and the whole training field starts to move. Artificial intelligence generating complex cyber environments, mirroring real networks, evolving threats, and adapting scenarios on the fly. Think less static coursework and more living battlefield for security teams. The kind of environment where curiosity beats complacency and skill compounds with every scenario.

There is a business lesson tucked inside this round that founders should not ignore. Circadence did not suddenly appear with an AI slogan and a pitch deck that says trust us. They built credibility inside the trenches of cyber training, proved the demand, then layered intelligence on top. Investors tend to fund momentum, not imagination alone. Execution earns capital.

The bigger picture is what makes this interesting. Governments, defense organizations, and enterprises are staring down a talent gap in cybersecurity that will not be solved with PowerPoint decks and compliance seminars. The world needs operators who can think under pressure, recognize patterns, and respond in seconds. Platforms that build that instinct are not just software. They are infrastructure for digital resilience.

So yes, $16.4M is the headline. But the real story is the rhythm forming underneath it. AI driven cyber ranges. Immersive readiness platforms. A growing realization that defending networks requires practice the same way athletes practice plays. Circadence is leaning into that tempo, and with Michael Moniz steering the vision and Seneca Partners backing the expansion, the range just got a lot bigger.
