Big Valley Gives Every Company Sixty Seconds to Make the Room Care

A company can spend years becoming complicated and still receive sixty seconds before the person across the room decides whether the story deserves another question.

Big Valley Marketing is turning that constraint into a Friday story slam. Founders, builders, startups, and established companies will have one minute to make a product or company matter to judges who hear pitches for a living. The listed panel includes technology reporters Don Clark and Chris Velazco, analyst David Smith, and Katie Eggers of NovaScale Advisory.

Participants receive an immediate score and expert reaction, with five stories selected before the event closes. Lunch, networking, and one-on-one feedback follow. The exercise removes the deck and exposes the structure underneath it: what the company notices, why anybody should care now, and which detail keeps the explanation from dissolving into familiar startup language.

Sixty seconds is not enough to tell the whole story. It is enough to discover whether the beginning created a reason for somebody to stay and hear what happens next.
