Arkero Secures $6M in Pre-Seed Funding for AI Sports Operations Platform

October 2025. Seattle. Three operators step out of the Remitly building for the last time, not with nostalgia but with a clock ticking in their heads. They had spent nearly a decade wiring money across borders at scale, learning what happens when systems buckle under pressure. Professional sports, it turns out, live in that pressure full time. Fixed schedules. No rewinds. One bad decision echoes across a season. That tension became Arkero.

Arkero is an AI native operating system for professional soccer organizations, built in Seattle with a second foothold in Los Angeles. The idea is simple and unforgiving. Sports teams run on fragmented tools, tribal memory, inbox archaeology, and spreadsheets that know too much. Arkero sits on top of existing ticketing systems, CRMs, data warehouses, Slack, and email, stitching them into one operational brain that remembers what the club has already learned.

Shivaas Gulati, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, knows this rhythm intimately. After eleven years building Remitly from zero to a public company, followed by a deep dive into the sports world itself, the inefficiencies stopped looking quirky and started looking expensive. Vamsi Narla, Co-Founder and Head of Technology, brings a resume that reads like a systems stress test, from Google Hangouts to Amazon Prime Video to leading engineering and product at Remitly. Daniel Shi, Co-Founder and Head of Business, adds pattern recognition from running Remitly’s UK and Europe business and negotiating partnerships where margins and minutes matter.

On January 29, 2026, Arkero announced a 6 million dollar pre seed round. Roger Ehrenberg of Game Changers Ventures led it, joined by 776 from Alexis Ohanian, BoxGroup from David Tisch, Garuda Ventures, Founders’ Co-op, and Adrian Hanauer, the owner who actually lives with matchday consequences at Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC. That syndicate is not betting on dashboards. It is betting on muscle memory.

The proof is already on the field. Seattle Sounders FC and Seattle Reign FC cut matchday planning effort by more than fifty percent for the 2026 season. San Diego FC has been live since its inaugural MLS year. Bolton Wanderers FC brought the platform into the English Football League. Same sport. Different continents. Same operational chaos finally quieted.

Arkero does not replace systems. It remembers them. It automates planning, coordinates departments, personalizes fan engagement, and turns historical decisions into real time recommendations. This is not analytics looking backward. This is operations looking ahead, asking what breaks next and fixing it before kickoff.
