AI DevCon Moves Agentic Coding From the Demo Into the Software Factory

AI DevCon comes to Industry City in Brooklyn and online from November 2 through November 4 for developers, engineering leaders, and teams trying to turn agentic coding into a software system they can trust. Tessl describes a three-day program with workshops, conference tracks, hands-on sessions, keynotes, and virtual access.

The subject is no longer whether an agent can produce code. The program is organized around what happens when teams ask agents to work inside real repositories, shared standards, security boundaries, evaluation systems, and delivery pipelines. The published topics include context and skills engineering, agent governance and trust, standardization and reuse, continuous evaluation, and practical playbooks from teams already putting the tools to work.

Why this room matters now

Individual productivity can rise before organizational control catches up. One developer may move faster with an agent while the broader company accumulates duplicated instructions, inconsistent patterns, unclear ownership, and new security exposure. The useful engineering conversation therefore begins after the first impressive result.

AI DevCon is built around that next question. A software factory needs more than capable models. It needs specifications that can be reused, permissions that can be audited, evaluation that behaves like a real quality system, and operating evidence that tells a team whether an agent is helping or merely producing more material to review.

The conference also separates access paths. The official site lists a workshop day, two conference days, and a free virtual option covering keynotes and selected sessions. Speaker announcements are still developing, so DevCuration is not using previous-event speakers as a confirmed 2026 roster.

What the program covers

  • Context and reusable skills treated as engineering assets
  • Governance, security, and trust for autonomous tools
  • Standardization across teams and repositories
  • Continuous evaluation and optimization
  • Practical demonstrations from teams shipping with agents
