Stranger Builds Opens an Online Halloween Build-and-Ship Sprint
A hackathon prototype still needs its first user. Stranger Builds pairs an October 31 build day with seven more days online to keep developing and shipping the work, giving participants a reason to carry the project beyond the demonstration.
10k in PRIZES l STRANGER BUILDS I Halloween hackathon (ONLINE) is scheduled for October 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM PDT to 6:00 PM PDT (America/Los_Angeles), online. Check the official page for current ticket availability and participation terms.
The announced program
NERDCONF and Get on Board host this online edition. The organizer names Base44 and Fetch.ai as main sponsors, with Vonage and several builder-community partners supporting the wider event. It advertises a combined pool of cash prizes and credits; that promotion is not a cash award to every participant, and judges were not yet announced.
A question to bring
Developers and technical founders can use the online format to test a small product with other builders. Choose a problem narrow enough to finish, then decide how someone outside the hackathon would try it during the following week. Separate San Francisco and Melbourne editions have their own registration pages.
See the official event page for the latest program, registration and access details.
